Military working on nanobots to swarm the enemy

BAE Systems will lead a team of scientists that will develop miniature robots to improve military situational awareness. The company signed a $38 million agreement with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory to lead an alliance of researchers and scientists from the Army, academia and industry.

The Micro Autonomous Systems and Technology (MAST) Collaborative Technology Alliance will research and develop advanced robotic equipment for use in urban environments and complex terrain, such as mountains and caves. The alliance will create an autonomous, multifunctional collection of miniature intelligence-gathering robots that can operate in places too inaccessible or dangerous for humans.

“Robotic platforms extend the warfighter’s senses and reach, providing operational capabilities that would otherwise be costly, impossible, or deadly to achieve,” said Dr. Joseph Mait, MAST cooperative agreement manager for the Army Research Laboratory. “The MAST alliance is a highly collaborative effort, with each partner from government, academia, and industry playing a significant role.” (link)

Can anyone help me?? Or send me in the right dirrection?
My name is Ryan Kastrava I am a student and I am taking a class called Computer Information technology, its pretty much my future career in computers is what the class is about. My project i’m on right now is an informational interview. I really would like to work in nanobot technology in the medical field when I am finished with school, or eventually work my way to it. I am currently going to school for applied science, which is to get my paramedic degree. I am also in the computer network operations program.
So what the interview is, is pretty much just some questions I would like to ask you guys. Also just like the company or organization or university you are affiliated with, and your name or names (unless you want to be anonymous).

What is a typical day for you in the field of nanobot research?

What kind of background do I need to get involved in nano technology?

Is the economy effecting this field of study?

Is there a demand for nanobot technology yet?

Are there good jobs available in this field and is there a demand for them?

Is there many downfalls in working in this field? Stress, funding, laws…

What are the perks for a career in nanobot technology?

Where is the future going with Nanobots?

    Any advice for me?

Thank you very much for your help in my research project, I really appreciate it
